  • Pre-Conference Program: Ethical and Practical Issues in Global Human Research

Ethical and Practical Issues in Global Human Research will explore complex issues in reviewing, conducting, and overseeing human research conducted globally. It will serve as a platform for faculty members and workshop participants to exchange ethical issues and practical challenges encountered in their daily work, and discuss their experiences and best practice approaches in resolving them.  Upon completing this workshop, participants will be able to identify applicable regulations and guidelines governing global human research; apply equivalent protection concepts in reviewing such research; address common challenges, as well as possible solutions; and be familiar with approaches to ensure compliance and improve performance for Institutional Review Boards and/or Ethics Review Committees.

This program is eligible for 6.5 continuing education (CE) credit hours.
