Critical Topics in Social, Behavioral, and Educational Research (SBER) is a full-day program that will examine some of the hot-button issues that currently perplex those who review SBER protocols. Through a mix of didactic presentation and case examples, this intermediate-level course will provide IRB members with an opportunity to engage in practical application of ethical and regulatory concepts and principles, and discuss multi-faceted challenges in the SBER arena. Topics include assessing risk, evaluating qualitative and quantitative research, reviewing internet research, and ensuring data-security. A common theme will be finding and exercising flexibility available in the regulations.
This program is eligible for 6.5 continuing education (CE) credit hours.
