    Certificates of Attendance

    A certificate of attendance for AER17 will be distributed to those who complete the conference evaluation, distributed via email at the end of each day. The certificate will be included on the final day's evaluation, sent on November 8.

    Certificates of attendance for the pre-conference programs will be distributed upon completion of the online evaluation for those programs. These will be sent on November 5.

    Continuing Education (CE) Credit

    Certificates of attendance are useful for obtaining CE credits from various professional associations. Each association's guidelines for acceptance of conference credit hours may differ. Please consult the appropriate association representative for information as to if, and how many, credits from AER17 may be used for CE. Attendees of the conference can earn up to 20.75 hours of CE credit. Credit hours for the pre-conference programs vary.

    Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credit

    This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Boston University School of Medicine and PRIM&R. Boston University School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

    Boston University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™*. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Number of credit hours is forthcoming.

    This program includes credits which meet the criteria of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine for risk management study. Number of credit hours is forthcoming.

    Sessions that meet CME credit requirements will be designated with a green CME icon on the conference agenda.

    *NOTE: AER17 Pre-Conference Programs and the AER17 Virtual Meeting are not eligible for CME credit.

    Applying for CME credit

    Upon conclusion of the conference, those seeking CME credits must complete an online survey distributed by Boston University School of Medicine (see below). Attendees must complete the online application within four weeks of the conference to receive a CME certificate. Once the survey is completed, Boston University School of Medicine will send you a CME certificate. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

    Please follow these instructions for applying for CME credit:

    • Step One: Go to the online claim for credit form and enter the Activity Code MLN16099 to claim your certificate.
    • Step Two: You will be prompted to create a User Account or Login as a Returning User
      * If this is your first time on our new website, please Create a New User Account and be sure to complete all required (*) fields.
      * If you are a Returning User, please enter your username and password to log in. If you have forgotten your password, click the "Forgot Password" link and the system will email you instructions for resetting your password.
    • Step Three: Once logged in, you will be directed to the: Get Credit - Session Tracker. Please complete this tracker including the attestation question at the bottom.
    • Step Four: You will then be directed to: Get Credit – Evaluation: Click True and click Submit. Your customized certificate should be displayed for printing.

    Your certificate(s) and transcript will remain in our database indefinitely. You may choose to log in at any time to download or print your transcript/certificates.

    Other Types of Continuing Education Credit

    For the purpose of recertification:

    • American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC): ANCC accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™from organizations accredited by the ACCME.
    • American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Certification Program: American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Certification Program accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME.
    • American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA): AAPA accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for the PRA from organizations accredited by ACCME.

    Certified IRB Professional (CIP©) Recertification Credit

    Credit hours from AER17 may be used by CIPs who are eligible to recertify by CE. Sessions that meet CIP© recertification requirements are designated with a CIP icon on the conference agenda. The conference is eligible for up to 15.75 credits that are accredited or have received advance recognition from the Council for Certified IRB Professionals.
