  • About the SBER and AER Conferences

Each fall, PRIM&R hosts its annual conference geared toward those working in human subjects protections, research ethics, and oversight. This year's event kicks off on November 17: attendees can attend the one-day Social, Behavioral, and Educational Research (SBER) Conference, or one (or more) of six intensive preconference programs. Then, on November 18-20, PRIM&R will host the 2019 Advancing Ethical Research Conference (AER19).

This event brings together 2,500 professionals from public and private institutions, the federal government, industry, and academia, to learn, deconstruct, discuss, and debate, and to network with colleagues in the field. Attendees can learn about ethical issues and the federal regulations governing human subjects research, best practices for the review and monitoring of research, implementing the revised Common Rule, and other late-breaking topics through a series keynotes, panels, and 100+ breakout sessions.
